Pwll Du

Pwll Du is one of the many bays, beaches, and coves along the Gower peninsular’s coastline. Its remote location meant that in bygone days it was the centre of Gower’s smuggling trade. It can only be reached by footpath and there are no nearby facilities of any description. It lies at the bottom of Bishopstone valley and is characterised by a large bank of pebbles between the valley and the sandy beach. It can be reached via the coast path that traverses the beach or via footpaths from Bishopston and Kittle.
