Hill House was rebuilt from the ruins of a 17th-century cottage by my wife’s great-grandfather (John Dunn) at the turn of the 19th century. It was renovated by us in 1990 and has been providing self-catering holiday lets since 2006.
We are the Thomas family. Elizabeth (Willis) was born and grew up in Llanrhidian. Her parents were the last of several generations of millers who milled flour in the watermill that is a prominent feature of the village.
Wyn spent most of his early life in Penclawdd where his parents ran the local post office for over 40 years.
