The Gower Peninsula
With its unique combination of natural beauty and history, demonstrated in its rugged limestone cliffs, sandy coves and spectacular coastal views, the Gower peninsula was designated as the UK’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) in 1956. The abundance of flora and fauna makes this an ideal area for naturalists and ornithologists. Hill House was rebuilt from the ruins of a 17th century cottage by our familly in 1895, renovated by us, for use as our own holiday home in 1990 and has been let, on a commercial basis, as a self catering holiday home from 2006. Our renovation retained most of the original features and provided all the facilities that you woud expect in a well equipped self catering holiday home. The downstairs bedroom and adjacent shower room with WC is ideal for hose who may have minor mobility issues.
First Floor: Two doulbe bedrooms, one bedroom with three single beds and family bathroom
Gound Floor: Twin bedroom, shower room, large farmhouse style kitchen and two sitting rooms.
Outside: Front, Side and rear gardens suitable for ball and raquet gammes
South facing sun terrace with garden furniture, barbeque, outside tap.
Driveway with offroad parking for several cars, luggage and/or boat trailer.
Both sitting rooms have free view TVs and one has an open log fire.
The kitchen is quipped with an electric cooker, microwave oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, toaster, electric kettle, radio/CD player, etc.
The Gower coastal foot path runs alongside Hill House and there are many other local footpaths to suite walkers of all abilities.
We live close by and manage the Hill House self catering business, perform and/or supervise the preparation of Hill House and welcome guests on arrival.
